Alpha-Cel™ High Purity Alpha-Cel™ powdered cellulose is made using only the highest quality cellulose pulps with very low levels of impurities. Low Residue After Ignition Alpha-Cel,™ high purity cellulose, burns cleanly during welding leaving minimal residue. Forms Carbon Dioxide Shield Alpha-Cel,™ powdered cellulose, rapidly produces CO2 which forms a layer of shielding gas around the electrode preventing oxidation of welded metal. Increases Bond Strength Alpha-Cel,™ powdered cellulose, forms a strong fibrous matrix with other welding electrode flux coating materials and increases the strength of the bond between flux and rod.
