Caloric Density Control / Bulking Agent

Improved Water Holding Capability / Liquid Binding
The level of powdered cellulose used can impact the amount of water retained. Longer cellulose fibers retain water more aggressively than do shorter fibers. Water, contributing zero calories, can play an important role in the formulation of tasty and palatable canned pet food.

Rheology Enhancement
The rheology of gravies typically present in canned pet food can be enhanced by the inclusion of Solka-Floc® Powdered Cellulose and JustFiber® Vegetable Fiber.
